Hi there to my film readers...

I think I post this again in the past, I'm very convinsed that many people like me go to a movie just to see the work of a director...

Zodiac is a story with history, many books, many articles, tones of paper in police offices but nothing that specific about the Zodiac.
And here comes the new work of David Fincher that gives the serial killer named Zodiac a new face, something more than the film that described him and not even came close to the facts...

David Fincher is a director who knows well how to create rhythm of anxiety in the audience even if all his films are more than 2 hours none of them has boring parts.

Zodiac is a movie that you don't expect the end so you can find out about the killer
it's the hole atmosphere and the police plot with the real facts that leads you to the conclusion.
It's a movie where you decide if you believe or not the police desicion ...
I receive the whole movie as a sequence of facts and that made me see why zodiac seems so real.

It's a long movie but if you've seen "seven" you completly understand how David Fincher directs...

I recommend you to see that movie cause it's based on events and not in myths...

Hi there to my film readers...

I know it's been a long time !

but here I go again with "Ocean's 13

I saw this movie yesterday in my place with a friend of mine who adores...!
Bradd Pitt , i'm a fun of Soderbergh so I really want to see how the 3rd part would work and I was really curious to see how the gang would maintain their good shape in stage !

I have to admit that the last one (Ocean's 12) wasn't that good especially the scenario was week but in this part we have a great addition to staff Al pacino as the bad guy in "Ocean's 13"!

Everytime I see Al in that kind of roles I think his the only really cool actor has left in the screen ...
I loved his role not too big so he could be the main character and not too small so he passes by like a cameo ...

One of the highlights was the moment when Pitt comes in Clooney's room and see him cryin' ...
I'm not saying anything else if you'll see "Ocean's 13" you are going to laugh.

Ocean's 13 is not "the" movie but it's a movie that can provide you an entertaining night with popcorn and good friends.

I suggest you to rent "Ocean's 13" and enjoy the 1h35m show ...

Hi there to my film readers ...

Ok here I am to tell you about Pirates of the Caribbean (At World's End) a movie I saw last night and believe I couldn't keep myself from blogging my ideas about the 3rd part of the Pirates.

My opinion about sequels prequels and movies like "Halloween 45..." doesn't change !
I think that every sequel starts producing only for more money and is very little times for asking the answers that came out from the first movie .

Believe me Pirates of the Caribbean (At World's End) didn't even came close make me change my mind .
And I can explain you why ! The movie was 183 minutes and all this time didn't decide if it was a drama or a bite of comedy even Jack Sparrow had an obviious problem to adjust to the scenario . A movie with too much discusting scenes that can make a child having nightmares...

In the second part of Pirates of the Caribbean Dead's Man Chest we left Johnny Depp in the stomach of Kracken and the other crue of his ship (Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley...) tryin to find a way to save him .
The Davy Jones (an amazing actor --> Bill Nighy) is not that powerfull anymore cause his hurt is in the wrong hands and the crue trying to find allies so they can travel through the end of the world !

Untill the second part the scenario wasn't that complicated and I can follow it but in the 3rd part
Pirates of the Caribbean (At World's End) messed it up...
Even Gore Verbinski (a very talented director) couldn't help in that messand so the movie continues and continues with some nice moments but not even close to the previous scenes of the 1st and the 2nd part!

My conclusion is that even if you really want to see Pirates of the Caribbean (At World's End) you have to know that the standars are too low and the movie in my opinion became only for money ...
Try to avoid Pirates of the Caribbean (At World's End) but if you can'tthen try to be patient with the length of it !

The big question is not "what if you could change the past?" but if you could change the fate of movies like "Deja Vu"...

If you decide to see that movie I thing that you face the same feeling taht I did .
You'll thing that you've seen that movie again in the past only with different cast !
And taht's teh big problem of "Deja Vu" it combines a little bit of "Minority Report" , a little bit of "Paycheck" and some scenes of "Memento" but all the way to the end never and I meen never finds a way to saw us something different tahn the other versions I've mentione.

It's a pity for Denzel Washigton and Jim Caviezel playing in a movie without any chance or prospect to saw their talent !
But it's all about the money I guess !

Director Tony Scott once again in "Deja Vu" stay focused on the way he follows
from his very first films...
A way with many visual effects and characters with no depth.

"Deja Vu" has his good times but they are not enough to cover the problem ...
The problem that the movie doesn't surpise us at all .

I can't prevent you from seen "Deja Vu" but I can tell you that it would be a waste of time cause from the begging you'll start knowing the end .

Hi there to my films readers...

First of all I want to admit that I hadn't seen the movie on theater but in my home !
I choose this way so I can turn it down anytime I want to cause I thought "The Queen" would be a boring film ...

I had those thoughts before the movie "The Queen".
First of all it was a British product a
Second it had to do with princess Diana and British kingdom
And last Stephen Frears the director kind of disapoint me in his laast films !

The only reason I needed to see the film was the first academy award for leading role in Helen Mirren .
So I take my chances on this film and start watching it, but in the very first minutes I start thinkin that I made a huge mistake judging the movie before I even start watching it.

"The Queen" is by far one of the best movies of this year with great plot an EXCELLENT Stephen Frears (just like the old times !) and Hellen Miren in her best performance ever !!
It was a movie with no boring parts
with great views of British people and their life
with great historic events in critical parts of the film,
so even if you don't know or listen what happend to Princess Diana you are not gonna find troubles understand the story !

Surely "The Queen" is a movie that I can recomend you with all my hurt.
Even the length is not too long ... !

I'm not gonna tell you a lot about this movie , I guess if you already seen "Perfect Stranger" you have the same opinion with me...

"Perfect Stranger" is a completly disaster for both Bruce Willis and Halle Berry !

I can't understand why actors make that choices !
This movie has no scenario it's not even close to a drama or thriller !

I choose "Perfect Stranger" cause I thought I would see a movie just like "Monster's Ball" with a little depth but nothing, from the begging a totally mess the caracters were so lost, the director were so confused with the way he wanna turn the film and I found my self in the middle of the film to thinkin if I made the bigger mmistake this season spendind 1h and 49m with a Perfect Stranger ...

If you haven't seen that movie yet , don't even think to rent it from the dvd store !
It's a waste of money and time...

First of all Happy Easter ...

In the begging of this week critique "The number 23" I have to admit that I never liked Jim Carrey(because his roles and the caracters he rlayed in the past were soooo anoying!), until his movie "Truman Show" in a movie that he shocked me with his patient and the calmness in his roles...
After that 2 more than good movies came with Jim Carrey "The Man on the Moon" and "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind" especially in this last film I think he at least needed to be nominated for his role...
But you know Academy ! they select only actors they like and surely Jim Carey is not one of them .
After this little story when "The number 23" made opening in the theaters I was anxious to see how (one of the my favorite directors) Joel Schumacher would help Jim Carrey express such a difficult and strange to his previous roles character.
As you can see from the title "The Number 23" is a movie about a theorie that explains "in a way" that there are people whom all there lifes are strangely close to number 23.

"The number 23" is a movie with good cast but huge problem with the scenario...
I'm sure that many times in the movie you'll say that you've seen that before and you know the ending but before you finish your thoughts the first surprise will come...
But the unexpected surprices doesn't solve the huge holls !

Give "The number 23" a chance but do not expect many new things from that kind of films.

Here is a great movie ...
And I really meen it, I was watching the movie "The Pursuit Of Happyness" yesterday and I was shocked with the performance of Will Smith and his little son.
It's been time since Smith played well in a movie (I guess you all agree that his last good movie was Ali) so when I start watching "The Pursuit Of Happyness" I was kind of curious to see his acting (knowing that he had nomineed for an Oscar).
Will Smith really amazed me with his performance because it was so natural ...
Every scene with his son was unique,
the way he was trying to keep his faith that they will save their lifes
the way that he was trying to study for his one and only chance and
the way he handled the divorce ...

It's really hard to describe all the emotions you feel with that strong acting, and believe me that Jaden (Will's son) was great too.
And all about happyness NOT about money ...
I don't know really if this story is true but if it is then I guess it's a motivation for all of us to try harder for the really Happyness.
As for the direction of Gabriele Muccino it's quite good with nice points but little weak when he trying to explain the pain of the father infront of his son !

"The Pursuit Of Happyness" is skilled enough and is an excellent choice for you !
Give an extra attention to the price of DVD if you love the movie as I did then you will add it in your collection !

Hi there to my film readers...

Little times in the past I was so excited for a movie before I even see her...
And the movie "300" is one of them .
I'm from Greece (really) and I have a pation with history ! I was so disapointed after the last attempts of Hollywood to make movies his historical events ... As a matter of fact I had the worst thoughts after I saw the Alexander !
But this movie "300" based on Frank Miller's comic is so close to the historical events that I can't make any serious comment about falses !

(I saw the movie "300" at 8 of march)

And so the movie starts with my mind beeing on the last Frank Miller's work "Sin City" (wich was amazing)...
The first seens are the introducting to life in Sparta for the young boys, the graphics are great the voices are great and the movie has a verry good vibe !
So the movie continues with the attack of the persians in Greek land... The first good point is that movie doesn't waste time in other facts than only the great battle of "Thermopiles".
Leonidas the king of Sparta refuse to obey in Xerxis orders for surender and take 300 brave soldiers from Sparta with him to hold the gates of "Thermopiles", a stratigic point for that times !
In his way to the battle field join his 700 more soldiers from "thesprotia" a place close to "Thermopiles"
The first mistake is that an other 1000 Macedonians came for help , the script doesn't mention them.
Xerxi's soldiers are more than 1.000.000 and imagine the huge difference but as Leonidas said "Prepare for glory" and the glory for Spartans wasn't to win only but to die for their country !
The second mistake is that the movie change drasticly the words of Leonidas...

The words were :

"e tan e epitas" (that's the words for : come back with your shield or not)
"molon lave" (that's the words for : come and get it)
the name of the Greek traitor was "Efialtis" but the exact meaning of the word is nightmare

That's the only mistakes I found in the movie "300", as for the scenario and the cast there were all excelent... A very nice film that enjoy every moment of it !

Please notice taht in the last scenes of the movie when Leonidas says to Efialtis to "live for ever" Efialtis realise his bitrade and cries , cause to give to a Spartan the wish to live in the battlefield in exactly the opossite !

Hi there to my film readers...

Some of you already start having good memories of "Requiem For A Dream", in the other hand some of you might feel shocked of the cruelty you saw in this movie, but believe that not just another drug movie is more more that that.

Maybe sometimes this movie makes you feel depressed but the title explain everything...
All the characters had a dream, a different dream for themselfs.
Ellen Burstyn (the most tragic person in the film) wants to be thin again just like the old times so he can play in a tv show...
Jared Leto wants to make money and leave agood life with jennifer Connelly whos dream is to be famous and rich of course...

But somehow all the characters lost their ways in "Requiem For A Dream", they lost their dreams and the dreams become Requiem or else memories.
3 different characters, 3 different stories with 1 common thing their addictness to drugs.
I don't know if I can or I can't blame them but I'm sure that you feel the same this movie stay under your skin and in your blood for a long time. I've seen this movie 3 times and every time I find it more tragic than the previous, maybe it's the Aronofsky's direction or it's the incredible soundtrack that makes "Requiem For A Dream" one of my best movies ever.

As for the cruelty of the scenes in the end of the movie I think that makes us realise that life is not a game and when you're loosing control life can be as cruel as a nightmare.
I love the scenes when Aronofsky cut the screen in 2 parts and give to the audience all that pictures with eyes open wide.

If you haven't seen the movie don't waste your time ...

Hi there, to my film readers ...

Sometimes we choosing a movie for the well known cast or maybe for the director,
"Apocalypto" is that kind of movie because as you know we have for cast unknown actors but a well known director ...

3 years ago when I saw the "The Passion Of The Christ" I couldn't decide if all this blood all this pain was nesecery for the movie but in that time Mel Gibson directing the Passion so I just stay with my bitter sweet sense of another bad directed version of Christ.

But now with his new movie "Apocalypto" Gibson clearly point us that blood and unnesecery deaths are in his vains and we cannot avoid it. This movie supposed to be like a documentary for such great civilizations and not this offensive to the history.

It was an opportunity for us and for Gibson to find more about Mayas and there life and not seeing all this ancient massacres. I can't see the point of such sadism in that kind of movie,
Ok you'll say "Apocalypto" is an action movie but were is the really action.
From the middle of the movie and when the eclipse take place all things are so predictable and the only scene that makes me realize that Gibson is actually director is the last scene of the movie.

Let's stay with the good memories of Braveheart and forget the "Apocalypto" as a film who lost his way almost from the beggining.

Hi there to my film readers...

I guess many times in the past we all said that it was Rocky last fight... But here we are again discussing the new Stallone movie "Rocky Balboa" !
I'm sure that we all think "not again" show mercy to Rocky who now is about 50 years old, overweight and sure not in shape...
But you know Hollywood ! Any movie can have sequels even prequels so it was some kind of expected.
I believe that there's no Rocky without Stallone... so the idea of seeing again Stallone in the ring was at least interesting. And you knkow why ? Because it's been a long time since Sylvester made a nice movie and I was hopping that this movie could be his ultimate come back ...

And so it be !

Stallone starts the training and Rocky came with his Italian accent back to screen.
I really liked in "Rocky Balboa" that Stallone stayed true to Rocky character with no excuses for his age and no fake muscles in the ring ...
Even the direction was focused in Rocky life after the death of his wife and not after his boxing carier !
I liked the way that Stallone and Burt Young remember to me the old age when Rocky never stop fighting for his life and his family in the ring !
In the last scene when the crowed stands up it was just like wants to tell him a huge thanks for all his amazing fights in the past...

"It ain't over 'till it's over..."

Hi there to my film readers... !

The truth is that I really don't know what the purpose of that kind of movies like "Night at the Museum"...
You'll say it's Christmas and the kids gonna see movies... But wait a minute, is that what they call movie ?
1 hour and 40 min. of a movie with no start and certainly not even close to an end. We all know that Hollywood lost 10 years now their inspiration for new scripts but this... !
In movie "Night at the Museum" we can see 2 very good comedians (Robin Williams, Ben Stiller) playing with no imagination and I guess because the script is awfull.
Come on the only thing may save the night is Robin Williams scowls in a role that few can understand, as for the Ben Stiller he was in the shadow of his last good perfomance in Starsky & Hutch.
Owen Wilson also played in a role close to his potentials... nothing extraordinary but close to good. For Shawn Levy the director my feelings are not that good, in such an easy film he lost the direction and he couldn't find the chemistry between Williams and Stiller.

The only credit I can give to "Night at the Museum" are the visual effects, visual friendly to childs and not that fake to older people... The "naughty" monkey was an inspired character and Tyrannosaurus Rex with dog chips injekted to him.

If you forced just like me ... to see "Night at the Museum" watch out maybe your child bored before you...

I have to admit, that even as a little child,

I never read many books.
I don't know why but I prefer to wait for books to become movies
so I can watch them...
One book I always wanted to read but never had the chance to was
Patrick Suskind’s "Perfume" and so now,
here is my chance...

The movie "Perfume, The Story of a Murderer" opened 3 days ago
and I was one of the first to book a ticket.
My expectations were already high and my desire to see
a part of the book myth...

I totally agree with the decision not to hire well known actors
(except Dustin Hoffman)
for the leading roles as the story of itself could attract ...
all the senses!

In "Perfume, The Story of a Murderer", Ben Whishaw is Grenouille
an orphan child who has the talent to smell everything around him.
When an ex-well known perfumer named Baldini
(played by Dustin Hoffman) finds the talented Grenouille and
teaches him all he knows ...
But that's not the only thing that Grenouille wants,
the only thing he desires is to capture the smell of women
so he can make the ultimate perfume...

The beginning of the film is so close to the book it's like
you are reading it and that's what makes me like it so much...

Another part of the movie you have to focus on is the music
from Simon Rattle - it gives you thrilling moments
at the end of the movie.

Even the length of the movie doesn't make you feel uncomfortable ...

As the movie goes on you fall deep into the senses of the "murderer"...

Watch out if you smell anything extraordinary during the movie
you are not the only one...
It's a magical moment of the movie.

Give "Perfume, The Story of a Murderer" a chance and you will find
that cinematic gift as excellent as I did...

Hi there to my film readers...

I found myself ... for a long time now, really, choosing films based on their director.
Recent proof, is "Prestige", the movie I'm going to talk about!

I admit...

I was attracted by the cast but the first name that came to my mind for this movie was Christopher Nolan - the director who first shocked me (in a good way) -
with his first big movie "Memento".
He handled, with excellent maturity I might add, a blockbuster like "Batman"...

In "Prestige" Nolan tactfully creates the magic atmosphere of an obsessed man
who looses the only thing that he loves.

"Prestige" is not only the story of 2 young and developing magicians
and their magic tricks, but a story that points the way for people to feel and react
when their ego conquers them. "Prestige" from beginning to end explains to the audience
that nothing is as it seems.

Once again Nolan casts Christian Bale and Michael Caine just like the "Batman Begins"
and I'm more than sure that there is great chemistry between them,
as for the other couple Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson
(who recently played together in Woody Allen's "Scoop") were a little out of their water especially Scarlett who didn't seem to realise at what age the characters were!

If you follow exactly the first Michael Caine's words "watch closely" you’ll find
that in the end of the movie ... is really tragic... but, every character is punished for
his or her actions.

Really !! "Prestige" a great movie. I enjoyed every second of it... all 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Hi there to my film readers... !

First of all I want to wish you a merry Christmas.

I was thinking what better these happy days sitting on your couch watching movies...
and I mean lots of movies. So I went to the store to rent some of them.
My eye caught the movie I'm going to talk about, "The Devil Wears Prada,"
and instantly I decide to rent the movie.

The main reason for seeing this movie is that in leading role is Merryl Streep
one of my all-time favourites. I have to say that I don't have any sense of fashion,
although I was aware that Prada is a firm...

But who gives a damn about that... Let's go to the movie...

With a first look "The Devil Wears Prada" gives you 2 feelings, 1st that it is
the kind of film that with caustic humour gives a satirical tone to fashion shows
and the life around them, but in another way the movie reveals all the passion,
the love and the hate behind the scenes in the fashion world.

I admit that somewhere in the middle of the movie I got kind of bored cause
I thought I saw this kind of movies million times before...

But then "The Devil Wears Prada" reveals its lethal weapon - Merryl Streep !

Once again, her acting skills couldn't hide behind the kind of roles that don't give
the actor space to improvise. Her look, her style was something so suitable for
this role that turned my whole outlook for the movie.

Unfortunately, Anne Hathaway couldn't in a whole movie escape from her
previous roles as a Princess. As far as I can see, she has good prospects,
if she makes the right decisions. Another thing I loved in this movie was that
the script was simple, even for those of us who don't know the big differences
between Prada and Versage (or something like that!) ...

My last thought was my fear for the ending... You know! In that kind of movie
the happy end is almost necessary, but there is a huge difference between
a good "happy end" and a boring "happy end" ! So the answer to my fear was
the look of Meryl Streep at the end of the film - a look that explains everything.

Not a boring end not far from happy end and everyone saw or will see this movie
would stay satisfied!

Hi there to my film readers...

I'm standing there on a line ...! wright ? (Diceman)

And I'm wondering if Scorsese's new film "The Departed" is gonna be that boring than his last 2 (Aviator and The Gangs Of New York).
The first thing came to my mind when I decided to go and see "The Departed" was "how long is his new movie ?'. The answer came write away ... 2h and 45 min.
Come on... I thought, I bored already ! All Scorsese last movies had good cast but their length made them so boring somewhere in the middle...
I kind lost my faith in Scorsese abilities since Goodfellas and Casino, although before the movie I had fully believe in Damon's and of course in Nicholson's acting.

And so the movie starts !
"The Departed"
With nice plot in the beggining and once again Nicholson in grate shape, fast dialogs with nothing extraordinary for a gangster film of course but makes you get anxious see if any of the departers gets caught...

You know not once in the film I get bored and that was by it's own one of the best things hapened to me in the whole movie. The thing I afraid the most in this movie makes me feel so comfortable that I didn't want "The Departed" to end.

So for conclusion I finnaly think it's time for Scorsese with "The Departed" to get an Oscar (if Inarritu doesn't make the surpise !) even for direction or best film and the fact is I think he worth it and in his battle helps him the excellent actings from Nicholson, Wahlberg and Damon.

Hi there to my film readers...

Todays post is gonna be about movie "Babel" as you see.
I catch my self very anxious to see this movie not only for the cast but especially for the directo Alejandro Inarritu one of my best upcoming directors. You see I saw all his movies and I' m facinated from his extremely thin directions in such critical issues as love passion and death...
Babel is another clue that he doesn't by chance directed such good movies in the past ! Don't forget that he's working with his close friend and screen writer of all his movies Guillermo Arriaga.
A movie that keep me anxious from the begging to the end, a movie that holds you so tight in her plot that in the end the only thing you can take for granded is that pain has so many different versions that we can't imagine.
Somewhere in the middle of the film I thought that the 3 totally different worlds couldn't (not in a million) get together in a story... And guess what ! After the film I couldn't see how all things get together so well withought let us with holes on the plot.
I admit that once again Inarittu "plays"in "Babel" with the same story But now he expands his orizons to new worlds with different cultures than the spanish... He mixes the Arab the Mexican and the Japanese culture in 3 stories so far away one from the other and in the other hand so close to each other...
Arriaga and Inarittu working together in Babel and give us a taste of tragedy in an exceptionally way ...
A taste of tragedy and fear that can sock anyone who starts realise the truth !

My conclusion to all these is that "Babel" is one of the best movies this year and you don't have to miss it...
As for Inarritu is "an exceptionally gifted director" who's gonna give us many more good films in the near future...

Hi there to my film readers....

First of all I have to say that I'm a huge FUN of Bond ... But my justice gonna be strictly to what I really liked and what I really hate on the movie Casino Royal ...

Don't take me wrong I think that Graig is not as bad as some of us thought before see the movie.
I'm not saying that he's the best choice but ...! We can give him one more film to saw his talent (I personally think he has a lot.)

Back to Bond film...

Casino Royal was the very first book of Bond series ... and as you can see OR you're gonna see that's obvious cause Bond making (all over the movie) too many amateur mistakes .

The direction was pretty cool with nice speed and not too many focusings on gadgets like the previous movies. Maybe they could save in montage about 20 minutes of movie ...
I can't say what minutes cause it's too difficult to cut the action sceen from the beggining
and it's too complicate to cut the love sceens on the end.

So let's leave that way...

I loved the way that he first said "Bond... James Bond..." at the last sceen of the movie Casino Royal ...

But I hate the way he said "I don't give a damn" for his drink when the bartender ask him how he want his martini...

Don't forget that the movie Casino Royal supposed to be a prequel of all the Bond movies we've seen so all the mistakes we've seen (like the sceen were he kisses Eva on the stairs...) are logicly noticed from the director as Bond is just few weeks 007 agent...

As a finally conclusion to all I've said before is that Casino Royal didn't leave me breathless and it didn't dissapointed me... I don't know if that's good or bad !!

Maybe Alfonso Cuaron is one of my best directors Ever...
I was anxious see his new film "Children of Men" released because I kind of ... knew that this film gonna be his best.

I'm sure that you know we leave in a world not far from "London" in days that movie describes, in a world with terorism and fear around us... I think that the whole point of the movie wasn't so much the problem with the new born children but the fear it self that the world might destroyed from inside.

The cast of "Children of Men" was great... once again Michael Cain was fantastic and Clive Owen did his best to prove us all that his one of the most talented actors of his age.
I was kind of dissapointed that Julianne Moore didn't played not even in the half of the movie and her name was in the first line... But I pass this by...

Back to direction, sometimes I've amazed by the cruelty of the people in the movie "Children of Men" and sometimes I saw that they aren't far from our society. Also I amazed by the last scene in the buiding when everything stops even the soldiers so the baby pass. That was a hell of a scene.
And the end...
Always there is a hope even if we have to make some sucrifices.

Sure "Children of Men" is one of the best movies of the year, sure one of the best directions of the year, sure one of the best choices you can have for a film this week.

I don't have much to say for this movie just that I fed up...

It is obvious that hollywood can't find new serious scripts for movies ... I'm not the only one who says that we need to see fresh movies not prequels --- sequels and stuff like these...
And believe me it was really bad. With no start this movie make me lost in the first 15 minutes.

I try after that to find my way out but... nothing !
I've just spend my 8 euros to see a movie that I knew from the begging what's gonna happen.
Pleaseee... Think something new something that doesn't make us borred so much...

Hi there to all of my film readers ...

My new film post is gonna be about movie The King. I saw the movie 2 days ago nice cast with William Hurt in good mood and Gael Garcia Bernal once again in goodshape too.

When I heard about the movie I told my self that it's gonna be an other movie with huge holes on the script cause the director is "new" you see and the only shot before was Wisconsin Death Trip. But "once again" I was wrong the film was great. Director pulls great perfomances and give to the movie a tone that doesn't annoy us.

Not so fast movie but the whole story isn't that fast...

A navy guy who travel through Texas find out who his father is... Of course he never met him but when he finally meet him the things starts complicated... I can't say that the end is very fresh BUT I can say that it's not the classic Hollywood ending who all finds out their love and compasion.

Try not to miss it ... It's a nice opportunity see Bernal in an other alternative role far from the Hollywood standars who may fantacise him like the next sex latin symbol. Even the film direction is close to good so there is nothing avoiding you from this movie.

Hi there to my film readers...

I'm pretty sure that you've already seen this movie and maybe like I do you loved it. Well I really like Jeniffer Aniston back when she was playing in "Friends" and I think that this film once again prove that she's not only good looking but a pretty good actress too.
Vince Vaughn once again this year gave the audiance 1,30 hours of laugh...
I loved this movie because discrubes exactly what it might happens in a good pre-mariage couple when the passion get in the second place. The 2 of them where really nice couple with no big problems but as ussually something happens and all gone wrong .
The love ? I think the love didn't lost although that they divorse ... You see at the end of the film the meet again and their eys tell everything I bet if there ever been a sequel they would be together again.
She just travelled around the world with her job and he managed to extend his bussines... In the middle time untill they finaly meet again.

That why I totally recomend that film because it doesn't bullset us with fake and eternal love.
This movie really saws the "sometimes" natural consiquence of love.

As they say; all good things must come to an end.

But my question is --> How about the final chapter?

I saw the film X-Men 3 that's what I'm going to talk about. The same cast with a few new faces around the scenes but the plot?

Why does the last film of a trilogy - and I mean every trilogy (except Lord) - have to be so messed up?

In this film, they don’t seem to be interested about the plot at all. They only give the audience great new visual effects. No difference, nothing! And I can say I'm a fan of the series. That's why I'm a little confused. In this film I can see more action and explosions than the second one, where the plot evolved around the emotions, but the reactions to this film are very expected.

Only the death of Prof. Xavier shakes the water a little bit...

In this film Laboratories develops a serum that eliminates the x-power of mutants and the war begins... A powerful mutant boy is in the middle of that war as humanity tries to protect that serum and the mutants try to steal it ...

The new director Brett Ratner gives more or less the same taste in the end of the film just like the last director Bryan Singer, only with more special effects than the last 2 films.

My opinion? Not as an inspired film as the other 2 ... Unfortunatly you can't miss it beause you've seen the first 2 and you have to close the trilogy.

Everything start perfect hot girls, nice stages , the evil in the air so I was expecting somthening make me feel dissapointed but... nothing !

OK... I admit the plot is not for an oscar neither the actors but what do you expect for a low budget creepe - bloody film...

The stars not so famous (as ussually !) Mary Elizabeth Winstead ( long road home) and Ryan Meriman (Halloween :ressuraction , Spin ) --- The director : James Wong the one who directed the first episode and the movie One with Jet Li (!!! that's a tip for you he was the screenwriter of the first x-files season!!!)

Final Destination 3 everything needed for a nice worm friday night...

Following the tested receipe of the first "good" episode and add a little more blood in the end .

hi there to all my readers...
my new post it's gonna be about movie Poseidon

I saw this movie yesterday with my friends and the first thing that came to mind was ....

Come on an other titanic story with heroes...

I am fed up I said but on the other hand it was my friends idea to see the new Poseidon so i couldn't offend him...

So I sat there and saw the movie !

The cast was fine Kurt Russell (Escape from NY , The thing , Big trouble in Chinatown , Breakdown , Vanilla sky ) , Joshua Lucas (American psycho , A beautiful mind , Session 9 , Hulk , Glory road) , Richard Dreyfuss (Stand by me , What about Bob , Mr. Holland's Opus , Easy riders ranging bulls), Mia Maestro (Frida ,The motorcycle Diares ). My problem was with the director Wolfgang Petersen you know him from the Perfect Storm and Troy 2 really bad directed films so

it was an other hit for me and for Poseidon.

The movie starts and my feeling getting worse and worse ....

As I was watching the poseidon sinking I thought until that time i haven't seen anything interesting what for ? why an other movie recyclling ideas we've seen hundreds of times ?
Peter Otool said that the direction of Wolfgang Petersen sucks , that he was the worst director of all his career....

HEY ! I totaly agree he has no imagination nothing fresh and all of his plans are useless...
Kurt and Richard try save the movie but the only thing they achived was the obvious to save Poseidon...
The end was exactly the same with armagedon ! Really I don't want an other story like that tell me smth new !

Not even the visual effects were good --- they were sluppy (take a closer look the time when the couple is trapped in the disco....) c'mon a little kid would notice that it's impossible the guy doesn't "fried" form the electricity in the water !!!

I'm not gonna continue burying the film you already see my point...
I hope next time studios and we are more carefull with our choices !

Hi there to my film readers...

I was thinking - I love movies - especially movies with multiple inversions
A nice guy with his family and his nice job (Clive Owen) always in that kind of "thrillers" fall in love with a mysterious woman , the difference here is that Jennifer Aniston she's not the woman you can suspect ... but
always smth going wrong at the train for work
Accidently they meet start talking after few days and in the end of the day you found them in a motel...
the problem it's not here we;ve seen these story nillion of times
(sorry Mikael Håfström -the director-"you did't do anything differnt...)

the problems start from this point....

when they get robbed in hotel and blackmailed
This guy find the courage to fight for his family and ...for jennifer .....
you know the happy end always come but clive doesn't satisfy with this he want's more he want' s the revenge and that's why i love this movie because it has 3 inversions

And the last gives you the sweet happinnes that you can do smth similar in a same situation...
the critics said for the movie " Derailed is one of those thrillers that makes you wish the main characters watched more thrillers, because then they wouldn't act like chumps." and stuffs like that but you know i dont care i saw this movie i had grate time although that reminds me smth...

It's nice to see Vincent Cassel in this role and it's nice see jennifer in smth differnt...

Hi there to my film readers...

Some of you who might know this movie you are gonna thing what the heal is he writing where did he remember that movie...
my friends i've seen this movie 2 days ago and I was socked ...
with the whole meaning.
The past month I was in Peter Sellers mood and I've seen all his movies again but in the end of the day I discover that his last movie Being there(Mr. chance) I haven't seen it so I seat down ready to see the movie.
When there were all over I came to a conclusion that this picture it was the best picture of Peter sellers not only because his playing a not funny - guffy guy because he is really playing...

Everything seems right in this movie huh....

He was 45 years old he never got out of his home .... He was the gardener so when his master died he has nowhere to go and he start walking around the streets...
so Sirley Mclaine hit him with her car in a dark street ...

From one day to an other we found him in a rich house of north america cause sirley were wife of the most rich guy in investemnts and close friend of the president of the states...
as you can imagine he won the trust of the rich guy ...

I'm not telling you what happens next because that;s everythinfg you have to see.
peter ........ he was amazing in a role that bring the nomination not unfortunately the oscar....

ohh ... I have to say that it was the last movie before he died...

Hi there to my film readers...

Today I'm gonna write for a movie that I really loved and I think it's one of the 5 best films of 2005.

Match Point

Let's start from the director...

I don't know but everytime I heard that a new Woody Allen's movie is upcoming I seat there thinking that this guy knows well the musical industry but nothing more...
He always stars in his movies ,he always book good actresses and that's the all package he can give to us , 2 hours(and less sometimes) of repeated stories.

I admit that were my thoughts about the last Woody Allen's movie Match Point but obviusly(as im writing about that movie) I was wrong... and believe me I'm very glad I was wrong !

I'll continue with the cast...

I know what you 're thinking guys Scarlett Johansson (The man who wasn't there , Girl with a pearl earring , Lost in translation) , she's really hot woman, but just consider that he start acting really well in her last movies.

And Jonathan Rhys-Myers ( Velvet Goldmine , Bend it like Beckham , I'll sleep when i'm dead) , one of the most nice looking guys i england before this movie I was thinking that he wasn't acting he was standing there and let all her fans thinking how sexy he was... but in Match Point... he proove me wrong .

Allen notes, "Chris is married to a very nice, perfectly lovely woman, and he does love her. But he has a passionate, lustful desire for Nola, which leads to problems because he not only has feelings for his wife, he has also been seduced into a very cushy lifestyle. He certainly has no intention of giving that up for Nola…even though he can't keep his hands off of her."

You know what "man you're pathetic" ,just make up your mind choose don't liying both of them ... And his wife , iadmit she's not scarlett but she's good looking, with money, very educated what else do you need ...

But of course it's in our blood thinking other women...

He was really far from that...

think about it you could do anything close to that...

Hi there to my film readers...

The first picture I want to talk about is Closer

Directed by : Mike Nichols (who also direct Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf ,
The Graduate , Wolf , and many others )

Lets start from the extremely good cast :

Jude Law (who also played in Gattaca , The talented mr. Replay , A.I ,Eneny at the gates , Road to perdition , Cold mountain , Alfie)
Julia Roberts (who also played in The player , Conspiracy theory , Everyone says I love you , Erin brokovitch, Notting hill , Ocean 11/Ocean 12 , Mona Lisa smile)
Natalie Portman (Leon , Heat , Star Wars I,II,III , Garden state)
Clive Owen (Croupier , Gosford Park , Bourne identity , King Arthur , Sin city , Inside man)

After the movie finished I wan siting there in my place and I was wondering if all the movie could be real..
You know I was socked ...

I didn't know if I would like to hate one character all the 4 of them , I didn't know who had really the blame it was Jude law who start all the things or it was Julia Robert's who first cheated on her husband ...
I don't know if I'm gonna blame sometime Natalie Portman or Clive Owen cause these persons forced into that emotionaly hurricane...

At the end the only person who really had to blame was the only person who hurted the most...

Poor Natalie Portman really loved the guy (Jude Law) but "every" "good" man has to cheat his faithfull wife... and for what ?? He had them all beutefull fiance (I don't know if I spell it right!)
nice work and a good life....

BUT YOU KNOW THE MEN.

On the other hand was Clive Owen the "brutal" guy the guy that gave to Julia Roberts really good time in bed (if we consider that he said in the movie that he has "it" 12 inches !!)
and generally a good life...

So why she cheated on him ??

I don't know i think she said that Jude was more romantic guy... is that an excuse ???
I'm gonna tell you again I dont know if that situation could happen in an other solar system I hope though i doesn't happen to normal people....

Have a nice day I'll say to you I hope you could give me a clue who's fault was the whole story...
